With that, let's get started, 2 Corinthians chapter 13, the last chapter in this epistle.

And our text today will be verses 4 through 6.

I'll have you turn there at this time, and once you do, if you're able, if not that's arrived,

but go ahead and please stand.

That way you can follow along as I read.

The Apostle Paul is writing very passionately.

I suppose you could say also very emotionally, very candidly, very bluntly to these Corinthians.

And says verse 4, for to be sure he, speaking of Jesus, was crucified in weakness,

yet he lives by God's power. Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by God's power, yet by God's power, we will live with Him in our dealing with you.

Examine yourselves, verse 5, to see whether you are in the faith.

Test yourselves.

Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you?

Unless of course you fail the test. And verse 6, I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.

Loving Heavenly Father, it's clear that we have before us a very interesting passage of

scripture, and it's one for which we desperately need for the Holy Spirit to minister the

understanding of it to us.

Lord, we need for you to show us what it is that you want us to see in the text that we have

before us today. So, Lord, will you? Speak, Lord. We ask, in Jesus' name. Amen.
