0:13.4	some more topics in social justice in the next few weeks and I know I wanted to talk about gay Christianity this week
0:19.2	but I thought because of the holiday we're going to do this instead.

0:26.7	from last week in Baptist press called
0:30.0	MLK taught as Christian Hero at SBC seminaries.
0:34.8	I think for conservative Christians,
0:38.9	there is a sense in which they do not know what to do with Martin Luther King Jr.
0:45.0	And now some conservative, Southern Baptist seminary
0:50.0	are deciding to grandstand him as this Baptist thinker, theologian, someone to
0:57.2	emulate a hero. And there are some issues with doing this and so I want to talk about the phenomenon, what is going on within these
1:07.8	seminaries, why is this happening. I want to talk about who Martin Luther King Jr. was the different
1:15.2	interpretations of Martin Luther King Jr. especially as it concerns
1:20.9	liberals and conservatives.
1:26.1	Because look, like Rush Limbaugh can have his Martin Luther King Jr. and he will quote, I have a dream speech and say he's living up to that legacy and then
1:30.5	Al Sharpton will have his Martin Luther King Jr.
1:32.3	And they're completely different.
1:34.0	So I think it's important we talk about who Martin Luther King Jr. was.
1:38.6	And then what I'd like to do at the end is talk about where a Christian conservative places
