Segment number two, we'll talk about the schedule release that officially drops today, not the leaks, not the DMs that I got, not the text that I've got, not the anonymous. I have sources because I play video games, not that, but officially the schedule release that will drop later on this afternoon and this evening, I should say, 5 p.m. Pacific time. I should have my hands on it around 4.30 Pacific time as I'll be at the Raiders facility and I'll get my hands on it. We'll be able to talk about it and dissect it. But what am I going to be looking for in that schedule release when it officially drops? We'll talk about that coming up in segment number two. Here in segment number one, news and notes of the day. We'll go ahead and jump right into it. And before we jump into anything schedule release, go ahead and tell you a little bit about a roster move that the Raiders made official on Wednesday. The Raiders signed free agent defensive tackle Benito Jones. He enters the sixth year in the league and joins the Raiders after spending the past two seasons in Miami.

He entered the league with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent back in 2020.

Also spent time with the Detroit Lions.

Six foot one, 335 pound defense alignment, 83 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, and three passes of defense over the course of his career.

And last year, he appeared in 14 games with eight starts and recorded 15 tackles a sack, two tackles for loss, and one pass defense. So another defensive tackle in the mix, Benito Jones. And, you know, defensive tackle is a position that we talked about quite a bit leading up to the draft where I was team Cade McDonald, defensive tackle Ohio State obviously the Raiders didn't go in that direction which is fine they didn't draft

a defensive tackle to round seven when they went and got Brandon Cleveland with that being said

obviously the Raiders feel pretty good about the defensive tackle room right all the different

guys that they have in the mixing led by Adam Butler Robbie Leonard must feel really good about that defensive tackle room

because a lot of us thought that, you know,

early in the draft, they were going to go get one and they did not.

So Benito Jones is in.
