Summertime, you never know.

Nevertheless, it is a big day for us here in the Mississippi State Media.

We will have our first ever chalk talk with Coach Joee moorhead later today that'll be around the

noon hour i guess we'll have lunch day at 1130 and then uh joe will talk and then we'll have an

opportunity to to visit with coach john cohen mississippi state athletic director john cohen who was

recently appointed to the division one baseballball Committee. That is a significant development

in many respects because here's the deal with John Cohen. John Cohen works in a profession

where there are a lot of people that consider themselves to be the smartest person in the room.

And in most rooms, John Cohen is that person.

No matter what anybody else thinks, he is among the most analytical and cerebral people I have ever known.

John understands the needs of college baseball.

He understands the importance of college baseball. He understands the importance of a new NCAA legislation regarding college baseball.

You can rest assured that college baseball is about to have some conversation.

There's about to be some very serious conversations about the direction of our sport,

college baseball, because there's going to be,

I won't say an agenda per se, but John Cohen will bring topical conversations to this committee. And some of them are going to be the same conversations they've had year in year out but john understands how to build support john understands how to package things

in a way to get them handled john is a doer rather than a speaker only.

So big news, not just for John Cohen, but big news for college baseball,
