Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard. Hope things are well with you today.

Hope it today maybe perhaps it's a payday for you. I know it's probably issue weekly wage runners, but that as May.

Hope it's a good week for you. Hope it's a great weekend. It is the first weekend in a long time that we have not had a rooting interest on the fields of play when it's coming

to college athletics. It's the reality of things. We've crowned the new national champion.

It's Vanderbilt. I'm not going to belabor the point and talk about all the scholarship stuff

today. Not going to do it. Talked a lot about about that on on the show already talked about it on social media

going to do some more talking a little bit later about the all the need-based aid and and again

this is not just a Vanderbilt issue it is an NCAA issue it is a loophole needs to be closed

it just so happens that one of the teams that is the best at exploring that loophole is in our backyard. And somehow we have to recruit against, some of know we have to play against, and we have to compete against on the fields of play, to win SEC championships and to win potential national championships. and so it is an issue for us but all that being said we're not going talk about that today. We are going to spend a lot of time talking about baseball today. We're going to talk about, I had told you guys, I was going to preview the whole SEC. Can't do that because I had yesterday, I basically spent the entire day figuring out a bad monitor situation. Had the monitor go bad on me. Had to spend some time. But I do have the SEC West.

I had some time to kind of work on that, and we're going to talk about what to look

for next year for the SEC West.

One day next week, we'll get around to the SEC East.

A lot of changes on that side of the conference as well.

But today we're going to look at how the draft impacts people, how graduation impacts

people, and what's Mississippi State's reasonable expectation next year for positioning

in the Southeastern Conference of the Western Division?
