Hello, welcome to Football 301. I'm your host, Nate Tice. Very fun show for you guys today. As always, we got our proper Tuesday show because we had an emergency pod yesterday, which we'll touch on again today with that Miles Garrett trade. But today, going to look at some second year quarterbacks, kind of a regrouping of how those rookies looked last year, those signal callers. We got a couple first rounders and some day two and day three guys that we're going to talk about, some interesting players. And to help me do that, my friend, that's always great to see you, Matt. thought june first now a marquee date on the nfl calendar um i'm sure the the league office is just

fanning itself with excitement that we've got another kind of day on the calendar here. So pretty exciting stuff. A lot to break down here. Who's again, shocking. Usually it's like, oh, we got a June show. Let's put together some some stupid forced topic. But no, we actually have a good show in front of us today. We took it, I know, I kept typing up.

Oh, it's like, oh, it's still draft season for us.

But we're going to take a break from that this week, you know, after, you know, we did quarterbacks. We did skill players. Next week, we're going to do defensive players. I got a couple, a guest or two for that. And I'll talk to you too about that. but you're actually going to be on vacation, so maybe not you.

But I will not be drafting a single thing the next couple of weeks.

And you're like, defense? Vacation, sorry. I got to leave the country. Nate's talking, Nate's talking defense. I got to leave the country. Yeah, that's what's happening. You've got to be in the different hemisphere. We're talking about the dark side over there. But, no, it's, I think today it will be

very fun because I think talking about these second year guys is always fun, because especially

when there's more than one quarterback to talk about like we had this year. But also, like you

said, I always make the joke. It's a year-round league. I say it almost too much at this point in time.

It jokes over, it's over. But June 1st has become the June temple. Like that is, you know, May is, all right, post-draft, there's always that deep breath, but May has become the schedule release. That's kind of the May event. I know it's silly, but it is. April's the draft, obviously, March is free agency, February, combine the Super Bowl, yada, yada, yada. I talk about this all the time, but June 1st though, which has been, it's not like June 1st is a new thing with contract language. I think it's just that teams are more aggressive now and we see a lot of fun trades. And so June 1st has just become more significant, especially with the bigger, I mean, the cap keeps going up. I know it's kind of a joke, but it's over $300 million now. So a lot more room to play with with these teams. And let's talk about those teams because, I mean, it's not like guy, like little nerdy guys got traded. It's not like a Y-tide-in got traded. Even like Jacobi Myers. It wasn't like that, which was exciting for, I think, me and you, but maybe got a rope

into Jaguar somehow on this pot.
