Omna, unlike in other countries in the U.S., pharmaceutical companies set the prices of drugs

0:17.6

with few restraints, which means in many cases we pay a lot more compared to, say,

0:22.5

Canadians or Europeans. The U.S. is where these companies make most of their profits,

0:27.7

including those that go into research and innovation for new and better drugs. President

They also mentioned that if those negotiations are not successful at bringing down the prices substantially,

1:39.2

that they will take another series of actions, which would include more formal rulemaking around things

1:45.8

like a Most Favored Nations proposal, which we actually saw something similar to that in the

1:51.5

prior Trump administration. Americans pay three times as much for prescription drugs than

1:57.8

citizens of pure nations. Stacey, listen to what President Trump said he wants to see now.

2:04.3

It's called Most Favorite Nation. We are going to pay the lowest price there is in the world.
