Thank you. Memorable weekend in La Liga, particularly for Barça and their fans who

were crowned champions for a 27th time, the first time since 2019 and the first time with

Chavier Nandith at the helm. So congratulations to Barcelona. The majority of the podcasts

will be spent discussing their title win, but there were other games in La Liga this weekend.

And some important ones as well on match day 34. These are the results on Friday,

Mallorca picked up a victory against Canada at home. They won 1-0, a result which I think,

and I'm doing a bit of maths here, but I think it technically means that Mallorca are safe

for another season. So congratulations to Mallorca for avoiding relegation. They're on Saturday,

a really entertaining game between Real Sociedad and Gerona. All goals coming in the first half,

2-2, it finished a really good game that was high level of technical ability on show.

Also, sooner were comfortably better against Almería. They beat them 3-1, 3 excellent goals from

Los Rojillos, who bounced back from their Coppador Re's disappointment by beating Almería and

putting it a really good showing. Virreal thrashing Athletic Club by 5 goals to one of

this Athletics biggest defeat since 2016. Virreal absolutely flying 2 goals from

Vienna, 2 goals from Nico Jackson and they're in the hunt potentially for Champions League football.

Then Real Madrid beat Katafé by a goal to nil in a game which not that many people cared about,

not that many Real Madrid players or fans were too interested in, but they managed to beat Katafé

and move into second place where they stay because Athletico Madrid were beaten 1-0 by bottom

side and already relegated Elcha, one of the shock results of the season. It finished 1-0 to the
