And it's, I think you were saying this is probably the biggest deal ever reached in any capacity, trade or beyond trade.

Well, after months of wrangling, the United States and the European Union have a trade

President Donald Trump there made the announcement last week in Turnbury, Scotland,

sitting next to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

We have a trade deal between the two largest economies in the world.

That's very important for our businesses on both sides of the Atlantic.

But the EU's 27 member nations made some big compromises in this big agreement, such as a 15% tariff on nearly all EU exports to the United States. France's prime minister, Francois, Beiru, called it a, quote,

dark day for Europe. German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz said the deal could cause, quote,

significant damage to his country's economy.

And according to reporting by Politico EU, French President Emmanuel Macron told France's Council of Ministers that, quote,
