The scripture

this morning is found in Romans chapter 8 verses 1 through 4.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

For the law of the spirit of life condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.

For what the law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did, sending his own

son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and as an offering for sin he condemned sin in the

flesh, so that the requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not

walk according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.

And now Father, as I attempt to, with your help, unfold these words concerning what the law could not do, I pray that you would come and be powerfully in this service by your spirit. Quickening where there's no life

and bringing into being what is not believing hearts, establishing faith where you find it, purifying lives that have become

sullied, strengthening the weak,

healing, the sick, reconciling, the estranged, encouraging,

the downcast, giving hope to the despairing, guidance to the confused, and a thousand needs in this room, Lord, 10,000, that I know nothing about nor can even

imagine that you see, no, care about, that this word, like miracle bread would have a healing, saving, befriending, effect where I can't even imagine. It's yours Lord, watch over it to perform it. I pray. In Jesus

name, Amen. Well, here we are where we left off three weeks ago in verse 3 of Romans 8.

Let's read verse 3 and I'll tell you where I'm going this time.

For what the law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh. God did. Sending his own son in the likeness of sinful

flesh and as an offering for sin he condemned sin in the flesh.

And maybe you remember three weeks ago we said four statements are in that verse.

One, God condemned sin in the flesh.

2. He did this by sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin.
