So today, we're talking about Idaho again, right?

Yeah.

Now that Idaho is done making its argument that people in emergency rooms who need abortions

to keep their health from deteriorating can go pound sand or something, they're arguing

before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals that anyone who, quote,

recruits, harbors, or transports a minor within Idaho for the purposes of procuring, that's a tough

word, procuring an abortion out of state can be criminalized as, wait for it, Amani, an abortion

trafficker.

What the hell is an abortion traffic? Honestly, what the hell is an abortion trafficker?

I've read the statute and I have to agree with plaintiffs here. One of their arguments is that the

statute is vague. It doesn't make any sense and frankly I don't like it.

Well, what if I told you that's because this is not really about quote unquote trafficking

in any sense.

And it's more about criminalizing direct aid to folks who need abortions and gets worse, forcing

parental involvement in the repro health care decision of minors, despite the fact that we have

Supreme Court precedent to the contrary. This is going to be another doozy. So let's get into it.
