Tom is here because I was reading the news as one does and realized we hadn't done an

episode on the developments in our relationship with Russia and the Nord Stream 2 pipeline,

which really broke into hot debate in Congress yesterday.

Tom, what was going on in Congress yesterday?

What was going on with the move Ted Cruz made as it related to Nord Stream 2 in Congress

just yesterday?

So Ted Cruz and James Rich had a bill that would have been reimposed immediately sanctions

or within 15 days sanctions on Russia's Nord Stream 2 energy pipeline, which is a pipeline

from Russia under the Baltic Sea and into Germany.

And the pipeline concerns Republicans, quite a lot of Democrats, until recently it seems

you supported these sanctions, but now don't.

Because it would allow Russia to divert gas that it currently sends through Ukraine and

another pipeline through Poland into Western Europe directly.
