So part of the reason the wildfires raged out of control and there wasn't enough water for a coastal community

that's on the ocean is due to the endangered delta smelt yeah so a small fish i don't even know

what a delta smelt looks like i don't know how big it is but it's apparently a pretty small fish. I don't even know what a Delta smelt looks like.

But its natural habitat is the Sacramento San Joaquin Delta.

And they were too afraid to ruin the fish's habitat.

So they weren't taking enough water out of the delta.

And that's why water tanks, fire hydrants were drying up.
