We are one week to go, and I'm thrilled today on the warning to bring you one of the country's premier pollsters.

We'll talk about what a pollster is, different than a prognosticator, different than a guesser, different than a lot of the bullshitters out there.

Absolutely. It's great to be with this, Steve. Thanks. So we're a week out. Who's winning?

Where does the race stand? Well, you know, a week out, the pollsters know nothing more than I think the

average person, right, which is every one of these seven battle of brown states is literally within,

you know, within a point, within a point. So this is something, Steve, that actually is,

is kind of beyond, I think, the scope, right, of survey research to call something, you know,

with this level of specificity. Having said that, I think we could, you know, put this

race into context relative to the

race of 2020, which is what I generally tend to do in situations like this, right? And I can argue

it. I can argue it either way. If you look at it one way relative to where we were on this day in 2020, Steve, you know, this day, Joe Biden had roughly a seven point something lead four years ago in this day in the national polling.

The lead is one to two at the most.

On this day in 2020, when we look through the blue wall states as an example,

Biden campaign was leading between five and seven points across each of those three states,

Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin. And today, again, to the extent that Harris has a lead, it's less than a point.

On this day, four years ago, Biden had an eight-point lead in Nevada,

and today that's a toss-up, perhaps Harris is up by two points.

Same story in North Carolina.

He was up by two.

We ended up losing that, and he was even in Georgia this time four years ago.

And, of course, they won that by just a handful of votes.
