Bear alongside John Stone Street, president of the Colson Center. John, I want to jump right in because this week, and there's been a dust-up, if you haven't

been paying attention, about the restrooms on Capitol Hill. There is a Congress person from

Delaware, who is a man who presents himself as a woman and wants to use the women's

restrooms inside Congress, I mean,

in government buildings. And then there is a congresswoman from South Carolina, Nancy Mace,

who has authored a bill specifying that you have to be a woman to use the women's restroom and

you have to be a man to use the men's restroom. And this has created all sorts of controversy, because

that's the moment that we're living in. But it's also been kind of a fascinating exploration of,

you know, you always talk about these you are here moments showing where we are as a culture.

And I think it was yesterday that this congresswoman who's been very bold, Nancy Mace,

from South Carolina, on this issue,

she shared that she was sexually assaulted herself and, you know, this is a women's safety issue and that kind of thing. She also kind of doubled down yesterday with her support of, you know, the LGBT community. Maybe we'd put it.

You know, I supported the Respect for Marriage Act, so-called, the, the LGBT community, maybe we'd put it. You know, I supported the respect for

a marriage act, so-called, which was the, you know, 2021 bill that codified that we've now changed

the definition of marriage to include same-sex pairings. And that was, to a lot of people,

myself included, that felt really inconsistent. So have you been watching this whole controversy dust
