Welcome to the Conversations, That Matter Podcast. My name is John Harris. Lots of craziness in the world today. We're going to talk about a little bit of it leading up to Thanksgiving. In fact, if you're in certain states like New York let's say

Thanksgiving may be crazy because you can't have more than 10 people and in New York you know an Italian family in New York. I mean that's not even your nuclear family.

Sometimes that's more than 10 people. It's just

California is similar a bunch of states have these lockdowns by decree of the

governor so the jurisdictional issues are just insane. I mean it this is you know the go to and I've seen some videos where there's one I think I saw was yesterday in I believe it was Ohio if I'm not mistaken or Michigan I forget it was somewhere in the

Midwest but you had a crowd of people basically chanting get out to some police who would come into

this private business where the people weren't wearing

masks and one of the things that they said leading up to this sort of altercation was the

questioning of the

positioning of the police of the pushback and so where is the law

and of course there is no law that that says these things

this wasn't passed by a legislature this is the decree of the executive branch

and one of the executive branch.

And one of the things that I really, honestly,

I'll be just perfectly honest with you

about this year that I'm thankful for.

And of course, this is Thanksgiving week.

There's many things we have to be thankful for.

There's always things to be thankful for. But one of the things about this year is

the pietist wing of evangelical Christianity and Christianity in general that that wing that just kind of wants to be like an ostrich

Stick its head in the sand

Kind of assume that everything outside of their local church

...
