0:47.8	my third one in the last year or so. So today's guest on the remnant is Andrew Calder, who is a China expert, particularly
0:56.3	on the Chinese macroeconomy, and he's a senior fellow at the Mosovar Romani Center for Business
1:01.6	and Government at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. He's also a former president of the
1:07.0	Bank of China's international operation in the United States and a student at

1:16.1	So, Joan always starts by asking people what's your book about, and you have a book
1:20.6	you're working on, and I guess one that came out in 2022 as well. So talk about what you
1:24.8	do, either one you want to start with.
1:26.6	Well, the book, I've written
1:28.3	three books so far. The one in 2022 was about the crackdown on the tech sector in China,
1:32.9	which destroyed much of their internet companies, although not completely, but just at least leveled
1:40.1	them. And the currently, last year at Harvard, I did a fellowship and I wrote a book, finishing
1:45.2	a book, about the collapse of the property market in China, which I think is going to have
