welcome to another episode of Purple Insider Matthew Collar here,

along with Sam Ekstrom, as we count down the days until Vikings training

camp and I decided Sam today is the day that we talk about the backup quarterback situation and we really dive into it with our

underrated storyline series continuing and I'm not sure exactly what the underrated part of this is.

So you're going to have to tell me if you have thought of an underrated part of the

backup quarterback competition. But let's just start there and I will make this statement first and then we can go from there

I think if Kellyn Monde does not win the backup position from Jake Browning. It's fine. That's what I think. I think it's fine. I don't think it's a thing to worry about all that much. I don't think it's a thing to freak out about to call for anybody to be fired to say that he's a bust or anything else.

I think that someone like Kellynman, a third round pick, shouldn't be expected to come in and just be able to hold down and master an entire offense.

And if he doesn't, it's not that big of a deal.
