Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard.

Hope it's a payday for you, for you weekly and bi-weekly wage owners. Maybe it is. Maybe it is. It's also my oldest son, Anni's birthday.

Yeah, 30 years ago today. He made his debut into this thing we call life. He's

actually traveling back home. Spent some time over in Dallas. Now, headed back to Northwestern

Arkansas. Got to get back to all those kids. And yeah, it's a cool thing being a dad it is and it's one of those cool things too you

get to see your your children mature i'm so blessed in that regard and dan and i spoke about that

recently we don't like our kids all get along and the more of you that i learned about and know

i understand that we are kind of in a minority that we don't

have a lot of the sibling rivalry stuff and I think a lot of it's because so many

of them have achieved but speaking of achievement my youngest daughter Mia some of

you know her and having our last family dinner in Starkville before she leaves for Harvard.

Yeah, that's right, Harvard Law.

And one of the most accomplished students to ever attend Mississippi State.

Very, very proud of her.

And, you know, that's the thing, too.

When you've got a child that's uh you know

moving across the country you know you wonder a little bit right you know you can't get lay hands on

them immediately it takes some doing to get to uh to cambridge massachusetts but um you know kind of is

what it is but uh when you raise your children with good values and allow them to make some decisions for themselves you know, kind of is what it is. But when you raise your children with good values

and allow them to make some decisions for themselves, you know, I think there's a little more

of a trust factor involved in all that. The fact that she's also really the third to, you know,

to leave town and begin her next phase of life, it gets a little bit easier.
