I am compelled to take it all live today.

I don't feel that that is an undue burden, but I am wondering how many times we have to see a change of guard at

10 Downing Street before organisations like LBC decide that it's not worth covering live, because

it will be happening again in a fortnight or a month. How long did Liz Trust last? Forty-five days,

give or take an hour or two. How long will her speech last today? Well, find out live

in ten minutes' time. I would urge you to be conscious of the dangers of being overcome with

excitement on a morning such as this. Liz Truss, one of the greatest orators, of course, in the

history of British politics, a Cicero for our times, a Churchillian figure,

by all accounts, lover or loather, no one can deny that when Liz Trust draws breath, a nation

pauses and hangs upon her every syllable, rarely has oratory reached such dizzy heights

of content and substance. So I think it is a matter of duty, frankly, to cross life to 10 Downing Street to hear

Liz Truss's valedictory words as she departs from the highest office in the land.

And then we have possibly the only man in the United

Kingdom who can hold a candle to her when it comes to the power of public speaking. Rishi

Sunak, who yesterday provided an absolute masterclass in holding an audience in the palm of his hand.

As he spoke, strangely unfocused,

looking down the wrong camera before shuffling diffidently off the stage.

I can't, for one, can't wait.
