I'm your host Corey Wong. Today is a special one for me because my favorite jazz guitar player of the current generation, Julian Lodge, is with us.

I've been a huge fan of Julian since I was in college even. I think we're similar age, but he was already like doing the

thing. Actually, I did see Jason Shadrick, the other producer of this podcast, Jason from

Premier Guitar. He sent me this video of him of Julian Lodge playing with Santana at like eight

years old or something.

It's pretty incredible.

Julian's been doing the thing for a long time.

And he's one of the best at it.

My favorite guitar, I'm not joking when I say my favorite jazz guitar player of the current generation.

He's incredible.

I've seen him play live maybe four or five times this year,

and I got hip to him.

Actually, I think maybe the first time I heard him was on Taylor Ixte's album.

They did a version of Pink Moon.

And then just kind of following along just a bunch of different exercises

and guitaristic things that he was doing as educational

things and then all of his albums they're insane they're incredible so stoked to have julian on

he's become a good friend over the last few months we've started to hang out and talk and we

run into each other at festivals and things.

He's amazing.

Also, speaking of playing festivals, playing live, being out on tour, I'm about to go on tour. And guess what?
