Today's time in a walk is helping both of us remain fitness consistent.

Hi, I'm Dave. Let's take a walk. This was always one of my favorite days of the year, January 2nd.

0:14.0

I would approach the new year for years. I would approach the new year with a list of goals for the upcoming year.

0:23.9

Sometimes that list only contained a few goals, maybe a handful, but oftentimes it contained

0:30.3

a dozen or more. It was this long list of things that I was going to tackle with zeal,

So we'll get through January 1st, January 2nd, and the excitement would be overflowing because usually what happened is that

1:48.1

after about a week or two, three at the most, that excitement was gone and I was starting

1:54.5

to drop off the pursuit of these goals.

2:01.6

If you are brand new to this podcast,

2:05.6

from time to time you might hear some airplanes taking off or landing.

2:10.6

I live in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina,

2:12.6

and I'm walking near the Myrtle Beach International Airport,
