I gave you my top three. Number three on my list is will Dan Quinn's decisions about the two

coordinators turn out to be the right decisions. Number two is, did they do enough on offense during the

offseason? And number one is the defense. It's changed player-wise and coaching-wise, but how

will that manifest itself on the field in 2026? You just don't know. I mean, it looks to be better on paper. But the fit, the scheme,

the way it's called, all of that stuff will be crucial. And to me, it's number one,

because you really can't survive a defense like the one they had last year.

I mean, you can find a way to win nine or ten games and maybe win a playoff game.

2024 is really the aberration.

To be that bad defensively, and they were horrific against the run in particular,

and they weren't a turnover-causing team at all.

They didn't make up for some of their inadequacies, you know, against the run and with lack of pass rush or whatever, with, you know,

turning, you know, having top 10, you know, forced turnovers. They didn't, and they didn't last

year either. But they got lucky 2024 facing a bunch of backup quarterbacks and third string

quarterbacks and a couple of quarterbacks that started games.

It got hurt like Jalen Hertz late in the year, et cetera.

And they won a lot of games and they won two playoff games.

But you can't typically survive a defense like Washington had last year.

Look at Cincinnati two years ago.

They had the best offense you could argue in the NFL,

and it wasn't enough defensively.

They went nine and eight and missed the playoffs.
