So I grew up in a squim was pretty regular to blow stuff up and mess around with fireworks. Okay, and one of the things we used to do was build sparkly bombs

which are cool, but highly dangerous and I wouldn't suggest and we had some leftovers from a 4th of July and on New Year's Eve about 10 years ago

My buddy Don my best friend decided to make a sparkly bomb and I am right cool, you know we've seen him before

Do something a little bit different this time you decide to put one of those orange home depot like five down buckets on top of it. Okay, and

So we get it all made up and get it down in the yard away from the house and light it up and

Now that happens we're like okay, we'll go check it out. Well no you go check it out. So we all take a minute and

go down, realize the fuse is one in the middle to make the fuse and it went out. So we put a new and then light it up. Well when you put the bucket back on top again,

the handle fell over hit the fuse which kind of powdered it and made it instantly go off. So my buddy was about

I don't know six eight feet away when this thing went off and all we see is a big flash in the boom and

you know we hear people yelling and

someone says you know call nine month one like what happened? Well this bucket

blows up and one of the pieces

hits my buddy in the face and we get him up to the house so we can see the light and

it's just gushing blood legs bleeding so call nine month one. He passes out.

They show up a few minutes later pretty quick. We're kind of surprised and

I ended up hopping in the ambulance with them and we go to Port Angeles to the emergency room.

And on the way there the guy tells us that he's a volunteer and he lives about a quarter mile away. That's how he got there so quick.

And he heard the explosion from his house. Yeah, as soon as they got the call he already knew what was up. I'm guessing. Yeah, exactly.

And so he got really lucky because he hit right in the meat of his cheek about an inch below his eye and about two inches above his carotid.

And he still got a scar where his beard won't grow and he makes one of them call him scar face.

And they had to pull metal pieces out of his legs and his abdomen and stuff.
