when people talk about Coachella, they talk about Bieber. But I feel like a hidden gem, not even

hidden, just a gem of the weekend. What is Addison Ray? And Olivia, our researcher, she was actually

at Coachella Weekend 1. And she said that Addison Ray was one of her favorite performances that weekend. She said Addison was amazing. I really felt like it was a star turn

for Hadison Ray. And I feel like she is such an interesting case of an influencer. She started

out as a TikToker doing dances during the pandemic, right? And we'll go over, you know, her entire career and her

journey. But she has transcended into mainstream fame and into a mainstream singing career and has

kind of become a gay icon. And I just think her pivot is so interesting. And she came up at the same time as the D'Amilios. At one point, you know, Charlie D'Milio is still more followed than her on TikTok. And you don't really hear about the D'Milios as much. I think that she has really done such a good job at parlaying her TikTok fame into something real. Yeah, I was thinking about her career just

last night, knowing that we were going to do this episode. And Sophie's leading this one this week,

but I remember thinking in 2020 to like 2022, she was the girl of TikTok, like you said,

with the DeMilios, with the hype house guys. But she did kind of take a bit of a break. She was a bit on a hiatus. I feel like she needed to be shielded from the fame because there are some bad press with her parents. Her parents are seemingly very thirsty. Her dad is a little bit nuts. Her mom was dating. I forgot what his name was. Young gravy. Yes, young gravy. And she kind of took a bit of a break. But I feel like she came back when all of us, we still remembered her, but she was, there was enough of a distance in our brain where we could welcome her back with open arms. So I've always really enjoyed her. I think her music is campy and grungy and poppy. And it's everything that I like in music.

And I just think she's a cool, fun gal.

So I'm really excited for you to take us through that.

But yeah, I mean, she is, I would say, a pretty, you know, stalwart pop girl right now.

Like, she is, you know, she had a collab with Charlie X, X, X.X.

She, like you said, was at Coachella performing.

And she just, I'm really proud of her, actually.

And what's interesting also about her background is that she is the opposite of a Nepo baby. As in she really, like her family at one point lived in an RV. Oh, wow. She grew up, you know, under financial stress. Her family was not wealthy at all. And to see how far she's come, it's actually pretty inspiring. Yeah.

And yeah, I agree that I think that her music is really fun.

And her aesthetic, her entire look is very, like you said, you said the world kind of grungy.
