What is a podcast for somebody who doesn't know what a podcast is?

Get right into it. A podcast is a conversation you can listen to between people that you can feel like you're a part of and maybe learn something from.

So if a podcast is something that you listen to, you and I decided to put cameras in this studio and to actually record it on video. So why did we do that?

I think we did that so that people who are watching and not just listening can feel even more connected to us by being able to see our body language and our facial expressions, our awesome studio with the fairy lights, our cool outfits.

And also see our amazing guests and just see how we interact with each other rather than only hearing our voices.

I mean, they can't miss out on this.

But yes, and we want people to watch us on YouTube and YouTube kids and on social media.

So, Jess, what is the Smart Girls podcast about?

I'm so glad you asked.

So we are basing the Smart Girls podcast on the books called The Smart Girls Guide that have been put out by American Girl.

And if anybody knows about these books, you know these are your quintessential books about

growing up, right?

Everything from puberty to body image to friendships, relationships, crushes.

And we're bringing those books to life, Shea, which make me so happy because we get to give

advice to today's modern American Girl.
