And today is a really good one.

Hey guys, I'm excited about the topic. We're kind of taking things in a different direction

this week and really answering a foundational issue related to marriage, which is why

get married at all. And I know a lot of you are listening. You're like, well, we're already married.

But this is important to understand because it's coming back to the meaning of what marriage is.

Why get married? Why stay married? What's the point of marriage? How do we communicate that

to our kids, to model for them the kind of marriage that wants them to carry on in this

in this timeless tradition and sacred covenant of marriage? And how do we, as a couple,

continue to live that out in our own relationship and not just give in and say, well, what's really

the point of all of this? And so we're going to just talk about the benefits of marriage in a world

where a lot of folks have just said that's an outdated institution or it's just a piece of paper.

And we don't need that anymore. But the truth is it's much more than just a piece of paper.

It is a covenant established by God Himself. And it is something that has all kinds of

benefits, both to your health, both to your spiritual life, both to your longevity.

Married people actually live longer. And there's just a lot of wonderful things that can happen

within that beautiful covenant of marriage. And we're going to talk about some of that today.

And I, for one, am thrilled to be sitting here with the woman of my dreams.
