And the week ahead is looking rather lovely. Of course, if you are one of the people facing a deportation or relocation to Rwanda,

then obviously you're not going to be in that category of people who are looking forward to the week ahead.

And that, I suppose, is the point.

I know this will sound as if I'm trying to stoke up tensions

or incite a little bit of disagreement or unpleasantness.

But I'm really not.

I think the world is divided into two camps or the country is divided into two camps, or the country is divided into two camps,

both of which know that the plan to deport people who've risked their lives to come to the

United Kingdom for reasons of family or language or simple admiration of our magnificent

culture and history. Deporting them to Rwanda is objectively appalling, as Prince Charles reportedly said this

weekend, a rare break, of course, with Royal Convention, although I do find the use of the

P-word in these contexts a little bit odd, because I don't know if it counts as being political.

I mean, I don't know if you've read the Bible,

but the idea, for example, that the Archbishop of Canterbury should stay out of politics is literally impossible.

The Bible is the mother of all political tract. It's hard to think of a more political book than the Bible. It's more political than Das Capital or Mime Kampf. It's a supremely political book.

Every single page of the New Testament certainly is dedicated to the idea of how societies should function

or contingent upon the prescription for how people should treat each other.

They should stay out of politics.

And the idea that the head of state or the next head of state should stay out of matters of state,

it is a little odd.
