I'm joined today by Asouin Tsubang, who is politics reporter at The Daily Beast covering the White House and the Trump administration.

And we're going to be talking about the craziness of Anthony Scaramucci.

Asouin, from our very distant perspective, it looked a little bit like the Trump administration might be, I think, becoming boring would be putting it too strongly.

But certainly things were not quite as exciting as they have been.

I mean, the Russia stuff keeps on going on and on and on.

And then, of course, there's health care, which is very important, but not exactly a sexy subject.

And then suddenly into the mix comes this Anthony Scaramucci, who seems like straight from central casting

destined to make the Trump farce ever greater. What do you make of him?

The injection one week ago, officially, of Anthony Scaramucci into the White House's

bloodstream as the newly anointed communications director,

very much gave this White House get another heavy dose of reality TV that had been,

as you pointed out, winning ever so slightly, maybe in the past few weeks or a few months.

But this is the latest very outlandish character in Trump world who has been handed by President Trump,

what is, quite frankly, whether we like it or not, one of the most powerful positions

and certainly one of the most powerful communications and communicator positions on the face of the planet.

And it's very well known that this guy, Anthony Scaramucci, who calls himself the mooch,

that's his preferred nickname, doesn't have this kind of experience he isn't a seasoned

communications operator he's not a seasoned political operator or political operative or

someone who has a resonate that any other administration I can think of would think to

themselves yeah this is the guy you've got to give the communications

...
