Why does this off season, in terms of the conversations that we have together, about our football team,

why is this year so different?

It's obvious.

We're not talking about the quarterback for the first time in forever.

The conversations over the last two decades have essentially been

quarterback, quarterback, quarterback. And then of course, the thing that was always, you know,

lying underneath every conversation, ownership. But when it came to the actual football team, our off seasons,

you know, from the moment the season ends, through free agency, through the draft, and then

once they've picked, whomever it was going to be, was it good enough? Would it work?

It was always about quarterback. This is the first time we're not talking about

the quarterback. Last year we were talking about the quarterback because we had expectations. We

were going to see something special, but we didn't know for sure. Some people didn't think we

were going to see anything special. You know, there was a real conversation about what Jaden Daniels was going to be, you know,

heading into his rookie season.

There was no doubt about him being the starter, even though they didn't name him the starter,

until he had, you know, crossed those milestones or the markers that they talked about.

But last, but this year, for the first time, you know, you could say since 2016 or 2017,

but for the most part, there's no conversation required about quarterback play.

You know, the conversation about Jaden Daniels is, have they put enough around them?

Are they going to be better on defense?

Is the offensive line going to be better?

Did they add another weapon that'll help him?
