Before we get into today's episode, we had a very sad, sad thing happened in our country

this week that we just wanted to address.

Yeah, it felt wrong to just go about the week as our normal scheduled Wednesday episode.

It has been a really heavy, sad week. Not only was Charlie Kirk

assassinated, which is horrific. And we've been praying for his family and just our country

nonstop, but also there was other shootings. And it just feels like a really heavy, dark time.

Because it honestly is.

And in these moments, I really lean on what does the Bible say?

So this is 2 Corinthians 417 through 18.

It says, for our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory.

So we do not focus on what is seen but what is unseen.

For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

And this kind of ties back exactly to what we were talking about with Shannon when she was on.

It's like, it is so easy to look around us and just be so sad about the state of the world.

Right. Because the state of the world is broken. The state of the world is scary and dark.

Yeah. But what is unseen is God's faithfulness through it all.

And God can work everything for the good of those who love him.

So in these times, I'm really just trying to stand firm in my faith.

Yeah.

And know that the world is going to be continuously broken and sad.
