I am excited to be here today to talk all things NBA.

On today's episode, we got to talk about John Moran being suspended by his own team this time around.

We got to talk about the New Orleans Pelicans who look like one of the worst teams of basketball

when they shouldn't. Maybe talk about Chicago sports. The Bears just had a ridiculous win. The Bulls, as I'm recording this, undefeated. Got the Knicks tonight, though, so you never really know. But maybe 5 and 1, maybe 6 and 0. Talk about all that and more with Ask KB later in the episode. I will say right now, this morning,

I found out that I am really, really alerts to cats. And I've taken the recommended

dose of antihistamines, and I'm still going through it. So I'm saying that to say, if my

voice sounds different, if throughout the course of this episode, you see a single

tear drop down in this eye, it's not just because I'm passionate about sports. It's because I'm allergic to cats. Which is crazy. I grew up with cats. Like, I had cats in the home. I don't know what happened to my body. I grew up drinking milk. I'm allergic to dairy now. I grew up with cats. I'm allergic to cat. I don't know what happened. Either way. I'm just a little heads up, little heads up. Because I am excited about the Bears win, but not that goddamn excited. All right, let's start off with the Jarmoran News because according to ESPN Sharmes Sharania, John Morant was suspended one game for conduct detriment to detrimental to the team. That it comes after they had a game versus the other

Lakers, which is on national TV. So everybody's watching, right? And in this game, he is so

passive. In this game, he's not trying. He genuinely is not trying. It looked like, from my

point of view at home, like him quitting on his team in that moment of time. And apparently,

Tomas Isselolo, if I'm

pronouncing his name right, exchange some words with John Morant about his leadership and his

effort in front of the entire team. And as teammates and staffers looked on, John Morant responded

in a way that they thought was inappropriate and dismissive. So he got a one game suspension.

And man, this is a lot for John Moran.

This is a lot from John Moran.

This is what I will say.

Right now, Morant is close to being left behind by the NBA.

Now, I don't mean in a sense that he's going to lose his contract and be a free agent

and have to play overseas, but I need y'all to remember how we talked about John Morant just a few years ago. We talk about young up-and-coming players in hoops, 25 under 25. John Morant was sorts to top of these lists. Actually, if you go to ESPNs, you know they do the NBA rank every single season. Going into this year, he was ranked the 33rd best player in basketball.
