Good news, everyone. We're going to the moon.

NASA announced earlier this month, April 2023 that, for the first time in 50 years,

they are sending actual flesh and blood astronauts to the moon. This will happen if all

things go according to plan by November of 2024. And of course, that got me thinking about

the first time we went to the moon. The idea of going to the moon, if you think about it,

is almost a little crazy, like why? And what could we accomplish? And how would we ever even do it?

Given the fact that the closest anyone had ever come was exiting our own atmosphere to travel

the full distance to the moon and return seemed like a hair-brained idea.

But that didn't stop President Kennedy in 1961 from saying this.

I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal before this decade is out

of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the Earth.

And we did.

By 1969, Neil Armstrong had not only emerged from Apollo 11 and become the first human to walk

on the face of the moon, but he made it all the way back to Earth, splashing down in the Pacific

A lot of people contributed to making that achievement possible. But there was perhaps one

contributing factor that mattered more than anything else. And that was the vision itself

imagining that yes, we could actually go there. But then secondarily, the belief that it was

any goal. And when we think about what honestly keeps us stuck, when we think about what

prohibits us from achieving our goals, when we think about what keeps our businesses small instead
