On November 8th, two-time Pulitzer Prize winner E.O. Wilson spoke at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx.

The occasion was a celebration of a rare tour of one of the fundamental books in the

history of science, Carl Linnaeus's Sistema Naturae. The 1758 edition of the book was the first

serious attempt to categorize and classify animal life on Earth. Wilson talked about the great

Swedish naturalist and today's effort to carry on the task Linnaeus began. I recorded Wilson's talk,
