Earlier this month, there was a brief glimmer of hope. Talks were progressing.

Benjamin Netanyagyu was visiting the White House, and there were signs that Donald Trump

could get ready to declare that he'd brokered a ceasefire.

I think there's a good chance we have a deal with Hamas during the week,

during the coming week, pertaining to quite a few of the hostages.

And then...

Still nothing.

Negotiations are fraught and ongoing.

Israel has continued to pummel Garson with bombs. Tanks have pushed into the Garzan city of Diyr-Bal for the first time.
