Rich, it's great to be with you.

I wish I was with all of you, to be honest with you, but here in D.C. doing my job, and hopefully we're going to get things squared away.

Well, listen, we know how hard you're working for all of us.

Can you give us an update on where things stand?

So as far as where we are keeping government

open in the budget situation uh i was disappointed yesterday we had a bill that president

trump supported it was a continuing resolution that would have kept us until march here's what

we've got to do we've got to give our new

president, our president-elect, a chance to get in, to get settled, and get America back

where it needs to be. In order to do that, you can't be fooling around with a budget shutdown and a

host of other things. So an original bill came forward the day before yesterday,

which I could not in any confidence. I just could not justify supporting that. That was one of

the very first people out that said, you know, I want to work with everybody. I definitely do not

want to shut government down. Harts our Coast Guard and a whole bunch of other

folks. However, I cannot vote for that bill. It had so much fat and pork in it. It was beyond anything

even Pelosi dreamed of in her day. So a little while after I came out on Twitter, you know,
