A few months ago, the thought of an infectious disease even hypothetical would have sent me careening towards bummerville. But we'll get through this together. It's The Wally Show.

On your next visit to your local pharmacy, you may notice a new product and it's a new at home COVID test.

I like this. I actually love this idea, honestly. I think anybody would. It's running about $25 each in the test.

Yes, the test are being shipped to places like CBS, Walgreens and Walmart and you're able to buy the test with no prescription required and able to get results at home all within 15 minutes.

That's the other kicker to it is having the quick turnaround time because you know, I know like there's a lot of people getting vaccinated and it seems like, oh, we're starting to turn the corner on this thing.

But there's also a piece of mind thing like if you haven't been vaccinated or whatever, you're not feeling good. You take the test and like, oh, good, I don't have it. And you can keep working and keep the economy moving.

Right. Exactly. And they're hoping to that this is going to help slow down the virus like the vaccine is doing. But when you get this test, it helps you know whether or not you need to stay home or not.

That helps you make a wise decision because if you do have COVID, then you can stay home for as long as you need, like you're saying, you don't have to stay home for these 10, 14 days.

Right. And then you stop your job. It's just.

And then to all the while to find out you were negative anyway, you know, yeah, exactly.

Yeah, this is the thing with this too. Like it works kind of like home pregnancy test. You don't have to, you don't have to tinkle.

Like you use your nose. Still you're still using your nose. Okay. And you swab your nose, putting a thing, close it. And then it gives you a line and tells you yes or no for positive or negative.

Oh, there you go. I do a little reading because I'm like, oh, that's kind of interesting. Yeah. So there you go. Maybe some help for you at home.

And if it's something that you are like, yeah, I'd rather do this at home anyway and get my results. There's hope on the horizon. And it should be in stores this week, actually, on the shelves.

Doesn't anyone notice this? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

Yeah, it's no secret. The world has gone COVID crazy. And nowhere is this more evident than in Spain.

There was a guy in like Madrid area with COVID-19 symptoms who his boss has said, go home. You know, we got to be safe.

We got to protect people. But he just wasn't having and he's like, absolutely not sounds like you know, I would go home if I was sick now in the past.

If I had a cold, no, I would work through it. But COVID is a little bit more serious. But he he ratcheted this up. Like he didn't just be like, no, I'm going to stay here.
