Hello and welcome back to Mother May I Sleep With podcast or something in between. As you guys know,

to the pod may remember that a few years ago on Eric's birthday, I had to put my cat Blue down.

Blue was diagnosed with a brain tumor and I did eight weeks of hospice care,

which I will say, even though I felt like I kept wags around a little bit past when he was comfortable and I wanted to do it differently with

blue and I do think that I could have made this go longer with blue but it just wasn't kind.

It's still crazy to think back that I did eight weeks of hospice care for a cat, which I didn't

really even know you could do,

but of course you can. And I got shingles as a result, do the stress. You know, Blue was hurting

himself a lot. And I was thinking about how for me and my experiences and also what I've noticed from other people

is that August is a month with a lot of tragedy and grief.

I think there's something about the heat out.

I think there's something about summer coming with expectations and, of course,

the new school year coming up. I think that a lot of people, even past being school age,

once we hit September, we're sort of in a different chapter. And I feel like August is a real

pressure cooker. I was seeing someone today even say that

there's a lot of crime that tends to happen in August, specifically with family

annihilators. Like one example she gave, this isn't a family annihilation but gabby pettito she was murdered by
