at a time when we have a lot to make us feel thankful. I keep hearing in the mainstream media

how this is Trump's darkest time. Never mind

that he's less than a year into his term. He's down in the polls. He's turning to foreign

affairs to hide from his failures here at home. But I'm seeing a brighter picture than that.

The U.S. economy has been growing faster than expected.

Stocks are volatile, but still up near all-time highs.

The Trump tariffs are coming off a lot better than predicted

and bringing in billions of dollars in new revenue,

and President Trump himself is keeping a sense of humor.

Here he is at the White House on Tuesday, granting the annual Turkey pardon.

This is a photo op that U.S. presidents have done ever since George H.W. Bush began the practice in 1989, though J.F.K. did it one year, as did Abe Lincoln, a century before him, supposedly.

The Turkey's being pardoned today go by the names of Gobble and Waddle. When I first saw their pictures, I thought we should send them, well, I was going to, I shouldn't say this. I was going to call

him Chuck and Nancy. But then I realized I wouldn't be pardoning them. I would never pardon those two
