1:00.4	in the political world today, seven-term Republican Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massey has lost.
1:08.3	It happened. He went down. He was defeated in the Republican primary by his Trump-backed
1:12.9	challenger, Ed Gowd Rine, a 68-year-old dairy farmer and retired Navy SEAL. Now, anyone who is even a
1:20.7	casual observer of politics knows that Massey has been a thorn in Trump's side throughout his
1:24.9	second term. He co-sponsored the Epstein-Files Transparency Act.
1:29.0	He voted against the one big beautiful bill. That was Trump's signature legislation to fund his
1:32.9	entire agenda. He's been very critical of the Iran War and the Trump administration's
1:37.9	close ties with Israel. All these things, you know, standalone could have had Trump turn on him, but, you know, together,
1:47.5	it was kind of no mystery why Trump was not his fan and found an opponent to run against him.
1:53.3	Trump and his political allies, as well as pro-Israel groups, made ousting Massey a major priority.
