Jesus was following the Holy Spirit when the devil attacked him.

Satan attacked him when he was weak and tired.

Now, the first thing the devil did, and I love this, the first thing the devil did was he tried to make Jesus question who he was.

Watch this.

Then the devil said to him, verse 3, if you are the Son of God, the devil ever said,

if you are saved, then why do you back that way? Well, if God loves you, why do you have these problems?

You know what he's doing? He's attacking your identity.

He's attacking who you are in Christ, because he knows if he can steal your confidence, he's got your life.

You need to know that you're a child of God.

You need to know that through the blood of Jesus you've been made right with God.

You need to know that you have an anointing, and you need to be willing to say so anytime the devil attacks your thoughts.

He not only tried to get him to question his identity, he also tried to get Jesus to take action that was not God inspired.
