Previously on Red Pilled America. Congress passed the Civil Rights Act of 1866.

All persons born in the United States and not subject to any foreign power, excluding Indians,

not taxed, are hereby declared to be citizens. The phrase, not subject to any foreign power, was understood to mean owing full and exclusive

allegiance to the United States.

Two years later, Congress constitutionalized this act with the 14th Amendment.

The Supreme Court issued its decision.

In a 6-2 ruling, it decided in favor of Wang Kim Ark. The Wong Kim Ark decision only gave citizenship to the children of people legally and permanently

residing in the United States.
