And we begin in the United States,

where one of Donald Trump's choices for a post in his new administration

has already had a knock on elsewhere in the world.

Shares in European vaccine makers have fallen after Mr. Trump nominated Robert Kennedy

Jr., an anti-vaccine activist to the post of Health Secretary.

This was the President-elect making the announcement on Thursday in his first speech since election night.

Another one who's another great mind and a great guy and so popular, and I think he's right.

He wants to make people healthy. It's driven him pretty wild over the last number of years.

The Democrats didn't treat him well. He was doing fantastically well. And today I nominated him

for, I guess, if you like health, and if you like people that live a long time, it's the most

important position. R.F.K. Jr., Bobby? Robert Kennedy Jr. as a nephew of the former Democratic President John F. Kennedy,

he himself had a long-shot campaign for the presidency this year,

based in large part on his previous vociferous championing

of, among other things, skepticism about vaccines and a cocktail of conspiracy theories.
