There's nothing like the word of God.

My people, the Lord says, are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

And the lack of knowledge is a lack of understanding of what the word of God says.

I remember Derek Prince, I'm going to sit down here.

I've been working, standing up all day.

Derek Prince, one of my great mentors,

Cambridge scholar,

turned Pentecostal scholar,

theologian.

He once said that when the Pharisees tested Jesus

as to why something

wasn't happening, he said

to them

basically that they were ignorant of the word of God

and the spirit of God. In other words, that all error comes from an insufficient revelation

or an insufficient anointing.

Therefore, you do greatly err, knowing neither the Spirit of God nor the Word of God.

So to greatly err, it can be avoided by having a knowledge of the Word and a knowledge of how

the anointing works and how the power of God or the gifts of the Spirit can work together. Now, in Paul's life, he's the perfect model of that in Philippians, because as we talked about,

he plants a church out of a jailbreak, out of a major controversy, out of negative publicity

that happens because he casts a demon out of a sooth saying,

false prophetic girl who's predicting stuff and latches onto their ministry.
