0:43.5 | losing control. And I wouldn't even say it's like losing control. I would say it's gaining freedom. |
0:49.6 | And I think it's something that a lot of people don't talk about when you're a really high |
0:53.5 | performer. You know, you own a business. You're a CEO, you're just trying to be better in life, right? |
0:58.2 | You spend most of your life trying to get control. |
1:00.8 | You try to get control of your body. |
1:02.0 | You try to get control of your time. |
1:03.5 | Just all the outcomes, relationships, friendships, etc. |
1:06.5 | And then when you have it, it's like the idea of letting go feels like a failure. |
1:11.6 | It feels foreign. |
1:12.3 | It feels like you don't even know how to do that. |
1:14.7 | And what I've learned over the last, I want to say six months, is how to let go of control |
1:23.2 | and the freedom that you get from that. |
1:25.5 | Because at some point, and you know, everybody has told me this my whole life. At some point, you'll be forced to stop, right? You'll be forced to rest. You'll be forced to avert your attention elsewhere. And for me, the last six months, that's been my health. I've been in pain. I finally have surgery, and now, you know, hopefully I'll be out of pain. I know many of you've been asking what I had done. I don't really feel like revealing the details of that, but I'll just say like it had to do with my stomach. And so that being said, I was forced to rest. And it was at first incredibly hard for me. I want to say like I resisted it. I resisted the fact that I needed to step back. I |
