showing up here because you want to understand what the heck just happened. But this year,

we're going to do things a little differently,

because we know that it might take a little time

to get complete midterm results.

Some ballots are probably still being counted.

Some elections may end up in court and that's why today we're bringing you something

different a show we just finished up yesterday.

I picture the scene that played out about a year ago in Austin, Texas.

The House Select Committee on Constitutional Rights and Remedies will come to order.

The clerk will call the roll.

This is a committee meeting in the Texas State Legislature,

one of those very long, sometimes dull hearings that make up the bedrock of American democracy.

And there are a lot of people here to testify.
