In a few weeks, Poland will inaugurate a new president, political newcomer Carol Navrotsky.

He doesn't appear to have that political baggage that other candidates might have.

He is also an amateur boxer, and his campaign has regularly shown videos of him, going to the gym, going to the shooting range.

This is something, I think that's also helped his image.

With war ranging next door, the image of a strong leader has appeal.

Navratzky has described Russia's aggression against Ukraine as a new imperial war.

On the other hand, he is against NATO membership for Ukraine.

Nowadays in Poland, anti-Russian sentiment co-exists with anti-Ukrainian sentiment,

so those are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

Poland is a NATO member and backs Ukraine in this war.

Scaling up security is an issue almost all Poles agree on, yet there are some

signs of shifting attitudes. In this episode of the global jigsaw, we put the election
