That's quite the build up there.

Now, we are currently sat doing this

podcast at three o'clock on Friday August the 11th this is just so you know because

we're about to talk about Philip Catineau and as you probably gathered there's

been quite a bit of movement or in the end lack of movement over his future

Basically FSG put out a statement early today saying he wasn't going to be sold this summer. Then there were reports

that he was going to hand in a transfer request which Liverpool denied and then about an hour later

he did actually do it by email. James what's your take on this whole situation?

Yeah it's all escalated pretty quickly today I think you know all the talk

certainly until lunchtime today was that yes we knew that Catino wanted the move to

Barcelona but that there'd been no signs of him really agitating for it and that he wanted it to be done respectfully

and didn't want to, you know, I don't think he wanted it to be done on bad terms.

Now all of that has gone out the window clearly on

the back of FSG statement today which made it absolutely crystal clear that

no offers would be considered for continue regardless of how high Barcelona go over the last few weeks of the window.

So then, yeah, he's having his representatives have taken them out into their own hands, submitted this written transfer request,

which, you know, when the reports initially came out, spoke to people at Liverpool and they were like,

it's not true, you know, we have not received a written transfer request and then by about one o'clock you know then spoke
