My name is Taylor Rockwell, and on today's episode, it's the return of listener questions, this time with a Euros Copa America focus.

We're pondering what next for Brazil, making a managerial Sophie's choice, and lots of ideas for tournament expansion.

To answer those questions and more, our two friends up first, it's a man who has, regrettably,

once again been left off the USA's Olympic roster.

It's official honorary US citizen Graham Ruthven.

Graham, I'm sorry it was once again bad news for you.

If it helps, Alex Morgan also didn't make the roster, so you're basically on the same level as her. Yeah, now I know how Ryan Gold feels looking at those roster releases every so often and not seeing your name on there. To be fair, Taylor Rockwell, at 32 years old, I'm kind of used to it by now. I've never seen my name on one of those roster lists. We thought you might be one of the overage players. I must admit, I did decline the call-up. I refused to release you from pre-season training, pre-season podcast training to go. Oh, you declined the call-up for me. I'm sorry. Yeah, I just feel like I need to be candid about how that played out. But we just couldn't afford to not have you on our preseason tour of central Michigan.

That's where we're heading. I guess that's fine. The Olympics are rubbish.

Just the editorial ice for a moment now. Well, Graham, I can't wait for your coverage of those Olympic games when they kick off. Rounding out the crew today is a man who knows that when Brazil

and Uruguay meet, it's always going to be a good time until it's a boring foul fest in which Joga Bonito is dismissed in favor of almost literal murder ball. It's Joe Lowry, hi, Joe. There's a stat that's been going around that Endrick didn't complete a pass besides the one that started on the actual kickoff. Unbelievable, guys. That game was not a classic. We'll talk more about the Copa America later on. Graham, I just want to say this. You and Diego Luna, I'm not willing to say that you and Alex Morgan are in the same spot. Sorry, Graham, you are excellent at what you do. Maybe not quite on that same level. Maybe you and Diego Luna should feel equally agreed because I cannot believe that Diego Luna is not on this squad. You're putting me on the same level as like one of the best young American players in MLS. I'll take that. Relative to your competition, Graham, relative to your competition. I'm into it. Thanks. Did Graham not win multiple World Cups, Joe? Did I have that wrong? I thought that was on his Wikipedia. Checking now. Oh, no, you're right. I got to prep on Graham's Wikipedia page from the next game. There it is. It was like the hot dog eating contest for kebabs. That's great. World Cup. My wife does not always join me to watch soccer games. Occasionally, she does. Thank you, Joe.

And she did join me for Uruguay, Brazil. And I was like, it's going to be great. There's this team. They're really exciting. They've got this coach who's really fun. Then Brazil or Brazil, it's going to be awesome. That might have been the worst game of soccer I've watched this summer. And that is saying something. That was slower than like the final five minutes of basketball.

It was slower than the final couple minutes of football. It was insane. And that Hendricks that does stand out, Joe. It was not the best thing I have watched. No, it was not a good game. I mean, it was a good game if you like American football turned into soccer. It was a good game if you like cards and injuries.

I don't know who likes cards and injuries. It was not a classic. And yet it felt somehow fitting for the occasion where Brazil aren't themselves right now in Uruguay are ready and very, very

down for a scrap at the drop of a pin. There's a lot to like about how absurdly physical and ready for that battle that Uruguay are right now, but that is not a game that I'll be rewatching, to say the least. That's fair. And to update the slogan, Joe, it's actually, or the saying, it's actually at the drop of an endric. They're willing to scrap. Maybe Andrews needed to drop more into midfield than that game is, I think, what we've gathered. Maybe just maybe. We are going to talk more Copeland, America.

We're also going to talk those Olympic rosters at a later date. We will also be talking about the U.S. coaching situation as news becomes more available, which is something we're expecting to happen sometime this week.

So lots of U.S. news looming.
