Christina Pusha had been working for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for less than a year

at the time of this recording.

And let me just say it's a little weird for a Governor's press flag to end up as the subject

of an extended interview in the first place.

Usually, being a press secretary means working behind the scenes, being someone who gently nudges

a politician in front of a microphone or cleans up their verbal snafu's.

But it's clear, listening to Pusha, she sees her job a little differently.

How much leeway do you have?

Meaning, you have to represent them.

How much you say, listen, I trust you just do your thing.

We've talked about this or it's like, stick to the script.
